Indigenous All-Stars v NRL All-Stars

On 13 February 2010, at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast, a dream will be realised.

It is the dream of the games elite Indigenous players to join together in the same team to represent their people against a formidable opponent.

The NRL Indigenous All Stars v NRL All Stars match will be a celebration of the games best athletes and of their commitment to the community

The event will become the centrepiece of Rugby League's commitment to Indigenous Australia and an event that promotes harmony across all cultures.

Fans will be asked to take the selectors chair to choose both teams, and what a challenge that will be. The Indigenous All-Stars will be a 20-man squad that could include Inglis, Thurston, Prince, Merritt, Hodges, Thaiday..... Only one player has won automatic selection as captain, Preston Campbell

Their challengers will be a team unseen in Rugby League history. The NRL All-Stars will include one player from each of the 16 NRL Clubs plus 4 automatic inclusions - the captains of Australia & New Zealand plus their deputies.

Fans will have their first chance to see Benji and Locky together and they will be challenged to pick a team that could include include Slater, Hayne, Folau, Gidley, Watmough, Vatuvei, Smith and many more ....

All monies raised from the staging of the event will be re-invested by the game into community projects, expanding the already significant commitment Rugby League has to the community.
